Launch reading of GHOST SKIN by Wren Hanks (Porkbelly Press), also featuring Vanessa Jimenez Gabb, Charles Theonia & Sarah Bridgins

Wren Hanks is the author of Ghost Skin, just published by Porkbelly Press (cover: Alexandra Eldridge), as well as gar child (Tree Light Books) and Prophet Fever (Hyacinth Girl Press). A 2016 Lambda Emerging Writers Fellow, their poetry and nonfiction appear or are forthcoming in Arcadia, Gigantic Sequins, Bone Bouquet, The Boiler, Permafrost, and elsewhere. They were a finalist for the Heavy Feather Review Double Take Poetry Prize, judged by Dorothea Lasky. An Associate Editor for Sundress Publications, they live in New York City and tweet @corsetofscales.

Vanessa Jimenez Gabb is the author of Images for Radical Politics, which was the Editor's Choice in the 2015 Rescue Press Black Box Poetry Prize contest, with a publication in November 2016, as well as the chapbooks midnight blue (Porkbelly Press, 2015) and Weekend Poems (dancing girl press, 2014). She received her MFA in Creative Writing - Poetry from CUNY Brooklyn College, where she was the recipient of the 2010 Himan Brown Award in Poetry. Her work has been featured in or is forthcoming in TimeOut New York, jubilat, Brooklyn Poets, VIDA Women in Literary Arts, Sixth Finch, Word Riot, The Atlas Review, Big Lucks, among other places. In 2012, she founded the literary project, Five Quarterly, with writer Crissy Van Meter. Currently, she teaches English and Creative Writing at Newark Academy in Livingston, NJ. She is from and lives in Brooklyn, NY.
