A 40th Anniversary collective reading of Bernadette Mayer's MIDWINTER DAY

This month at Berl's, we are organizing a marathon community reading of Bernadette Mayer's MIDWINTER DAY on the winter solstice to celebrate the 40th anniversary of this epic and intimate book-length poem. We read the poem together once before in the shop four years ago with genius organizational assistance from erstwhile New Yorker Becca Klaver, and this year MC Hyland and Berl's volunteer Noah LeBien are helping to assemble a great event. Our reading will take just after the winter solstice, on Saturday afternoon 12/22 starting at 1pm. If you would like to sign up as a reader participant, please use the below to choose the one-hour slots in which you will be available. You'll probably read for 5-10 minutes, but please plan to stay for the full hour (or more!) in case we need pinch-hitter readers.
